# About Missouri Young Democrats (MOYD)

> Missouri Young Democrats (MOYD) is the official statewide organization uniting young people across Missouri to build Democratic power, register voters, train future leaders, and fight for progressive change.

## Mission
Our mission is to empower young Missourians by:
- Organizing across all eight congressional districts
- Registering voters and increasing civic engagement
- Training candidates, campaign staff, and community leaders
- Advocating for progressive policies on issues like reproductive freedom, climate change, labor rights, education, and protecting democracy

## Structure
- Affiliated with the Young Democrats of America (YDA)
- Partnered with the Missouri Democratic Party
- Works alongside Missouri College Democrats and Missouri High School Democrats
